Why don't I see my energy consumption in the NextEnergy app?
It can happen that your energy consumption is (temporarily) not visible in the app. This can have various causes. Below we explain the most common situations.
Possible causes
1. No meter data received yet
We usually receive your meter data one day after your consumption from the network operator. It can happen that this data becomes available a little later.
Good to know: The data from the network operator can take up to 24 hours before it is available. As soon as we receive the data, it will be automatically displayed in the app.
2. Network operator outage
During an outage, your smart meter may temporarily be unable to send meter readings. As a result, your consumption cannot be displayed in the app.
Good to know: Most meter outages are resolved by the network operator within 10 working days. As soon as the outage is resolved and the meter sends data again, your consumption will be updated automatically.
3. You do not have a (working) smart meter
To show your energy consumption in the app, a smart meter that can send meter readings is required.
This may be missing if:
- You have a conventional (analog) meter.
- Your smart meter is administratively disabled.
- Your smart meter is technically unable to transmit data.
- You temporarily or permanently do not have a meter.
4. Check if you are logged into the correct account
Check if you are logged in with the email address associated with your energy contract.
Have you recently moved? Then it is likely that you need to create a new account for your new contract. Your old login is linked to your previous contract and therefore does not show data from your new connection.
5. Your contract has just started
In the first 1 to 2 days after your contract starts, you may not yet see any energy or gas consumption in the NextEnergy app. Don’t worry, your consumption is not lost. We read the data retroactively and ensure that both the correct data and the accurate costs are updated. So nothing is lost.
