With ZonVast, you get more certainty from your solar panels. Instead of being fully dependent on fluctuating electricity prices, you receive a fixed payment for your solar panels — while simultaneously contributing to a more stable energy grid.
More certainty from your solar panels
ZonVast is specially designed for customers with solar panels who want to make their yield more predictable. You receive a fixed payment based on the capacity of your installation (expressed in kWp, kilowatt peak).
In return, you give NextEnergy permission to temporarily control your solar panels at certain times. This is called curtailment: the short-term limitation of generation.
This only happens when necessary, for example to:
- keep the electricity grid balanced
- absorb large price fluctuations
- prevent negative feed-in prices
This way, your energy is used more intelligently, without you having to actively manage it yourself.
A fixed payment, accrued daily
With ZonVast, you receive a fixed payment of €12.00 per kWp per year. This payment is accrued daily and made visible in your overview.
The amount of your payment therefore depends on the size of your solar panel installation. The more capacity (kWp), the higher the payment.
When is ZonVast right for you?
ZonVast is interesting if you:
- want more certainty about your yields
- do not want to pay during negative feed-in prices
- want to contribute to a smarter and more stable energy grid
You also retain insight into your solar production via the NextEnergy app.
What do you need to get started?
To use ZonVast, you need a few things:
- An active Dynamic Electricity contract with NextEnergy
- Solar panels linked in the NextEnergy app
- Permission to read and control your solar panels
- A compatible inverter (such as Growatt)
Once your solar panels are linked, you can easily activate ZonVast via the app.
Activate and manage via the app
You activate ZonVast yourself in the NextEnergy app. This can be done immediately after linking your solar panels, or later via your profile or contract overview.
After activation:
- you receive an updated contract
- ZonVast starts the next day
- your payment is accrued daily
Want to stop? You can do so at any time. The change will then take effect the next day.
How do we determine your solar capacity?
The payment is based on the total capacity of your solar panels (kWp).
Where possible, we determine this automatically via your inverter. If that information is not available, we ask you to fill in some details yourself, such as:
- the number of panels
- the total capacity
- the year of installation
- previous yield
Based on this, we make an accurate estimate.
We also verify this information. If it turns out that the stated capacity does not match actual production, we may adjust or discontinue the payment.
Good to know
During ZonVast:
- your installation can be automatically controlled when necessary
- only settings that enable this control are allowed
- you cannot adjust these settings yourself as long as ZonVast is active
Additionally, ZonVast is intended for residential installations. Therefore, a maximum of 50 solar panels or 25 kWp applies.
What does it yield for you?
With ZonVast, you combine certainty and convenience:
- You receive a fixed payment for your solar panels
- You don’t have to do anything yourself to optimize your generation
- You avoid negative effects of negative electricity prices
- You contribute to a more stable and sustainable energy system
