The P1 meter has a small hole with a light underneath that displays different colors. This light indicates what the P1 meter is doing at that moment. Below you will find a brief explanation of what each color means.
Green
The P1 meter is working correctly. You should see your consumption in the NextEnergy app.
Blue
The P1 meter is in installation mode. You can now connect your phone via Bluetooth.
If the light stays blue, there may be no connection to your Wi-Fi network, or your phone is not connecting to the P1 meter.
Purple
Your phone is successfully connected to the P1 meter via Bluetooth. The next step is to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Blue and green, flashing
The P1 meter is connected to Wi-Fi but is not yet receiving consumption data from the smart meter. This can take up to 30 seconds after completing the installation.
If the P1 meter still does not work after 30 seconds, try the following:
- Remove the P1 meter from the P1 port
- Blow away any dust from the P1 port if necessary
- Check if the copper contacts on the P1 meter are clean
- Securely place the P1 meter back into the P1 port until you hear or feel a click
- Restart the installation via the app
If the light keeps flashing, please contact our customer service via chat; we are happy to assist you.
Red, flashing
There is a problem with the power supply. Unplug the adapter from the outlet and plug it back in. Check if the adapter is working properly and receiving power. Then perform a reset on the P1 meter.
Red and green, flashing
The server is temporarily unreachable. Please wait a few minutes. If this continues, contact us.
Orange
A firmware update is being performed. This usually takes no longer than five minutes.
As soon as the P1 meter is connected to Wi-Fi, it automatically checks if an update is available. If so, it performs the update immediately. You do not need to do anything yourself.
