What should you do if you no longer use gas?

Have you switched to a heat pump and no longer use gas? It is important that you also have your gas connection removed. This will prevent you from continuing to pay high annual grid management costs.

1. Submit a request to your grid operator to have your gas connection removed
   You can easily do this via MijnAansluiting.nl

2. Have you received confirmation with a date?
   Then contact us so we can look into the options for terminating your gas contract.

   Alternatively, you can also wait, because once the grid operator has disconnected your gas connection, we will automatically be notified. We will then make sure that your gas supply is stopped. Do you also have an electricity connection? That will simply continue.

    

Have you not yet submitted a request to your grid operator? Unfortunately, we cannot simply terminate the gas contract. Every connection in the Netherlands must be linked to an energy supplier. If this is not the case, the grid operator will disconnect the connection, and this will incur a penalty.
